Our Story

Keeping It Together Since 1998

Without strong anchoring systems, the structures and equipment you see today wouldn’t last. That’s why Hercules Bolt exists, to support our country’s infrastructure—one quality bolt at a time (or several).

Hercules Bolt & Manufacturing was founded in 1998 in Madison, TN to provide contractors and fabricators like you with the finest American-made heavy fasteners and customized steel products. We wanted to create the kinds of precise assemblies that would give you confidence in knowing your structures would hold strong for generations.

Founded by a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard, we are proud to share that we’re a veteran-owned company. Not only do we manufacture fasteners, today we serve as the top distributor of structural bolts, nuts, turnbuckles, and more. We focus on fast, reliable shipping so you can get the parts you need quickly and accomplish your project on time.

Meet Our President and Founder, Edward Jackson III

Like Hercules Bolt, Edward Jackson is no stranger to providing exemplary service with precision and quality. A University of Alabama graduate, Jackson served in the Air National Guard for 22 years flying C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft (including in Desert Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom), eventually retiring as a lieutenant colonel.

Jackson applied his military-honed leadership skills in the business world, founding Hercules Bolt & Manufacturing in 1998, where he serves today as owner and president. Under Jackson’s leadership, Hercules Bolt has become the go-to provider for domestic-made fasteners in the US. He also sits on the boards of Capital Bank & Trust (which he cofounded in 1993) and the HG Hill Company, a real estate development firm. Jackson lives in Nashville with his wife Annie Laurie and their three children.
