Position: Shipping Manager
Job Overview:
Hercules Bolt Company is actively seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to oversee all shipping and receiving operations. This individual will play a vital role in managing daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment handling, and maintaining documentation. The position offers a competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the unloading of incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality, and inspecting items for potential damage.
- Manage the preparation of outgoing shipments, including scheduling carriers, boxing, palletizing, and securing items for transport.
- Conduct and supervise regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.Complete and maintain all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and tracking information.
- Safely and efficiently operate and supervise forklift and other equipment used to support loading and unloading.
- Develop and implement shipping and receiving policies to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical capability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift operator certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification.
- References required.
